Newborns photos are best taken within the first two weeks of life. We want to make sure that baby is still very sleepy! Your baby will grow and change so quickly after they are born, this also allows us to capture those beautiful newborn moments before they are gone!
Newborn sessions are done as an in-home session, as the outside elements can be too much for baby when they are so tiny! For your in-home newborn session, I recommend picking 2-3 rooms and clear them of anything you would not love having in the background of your images. Most people choose the nursery, master bedroom, and living room for these areas.

do you offer bundling discounts?
I am based out of Sterling Heights, MI which is located in the Metro Detroit area. I am originally from Alpena, MI which is in Northern Michigan. I am more than willing to travel! I actually love it when families ask me to photograph them in a location that means something special to them! I will travel for free up to 15 miles from my location. If it is further than that, I charge $0.80 per mile.
Where are you located?
Not at all! I tell families to focus generally on 2-3 rooms in the house that they'd want photos taken in and clean those rooms up to how they'd want to see them in photos. These rooms are typically rooms such as the nursery, living room, master bedroom. But this is only for your preference and is not mandatory!
do I have to clean my whole house for my session?
Since I am mostly a natural light photography, I like to schedule in-home sessions to start anywhere from 10:00-11:30AM when the light outside is nice and bright! Although I am more than willing to accommodate a different time if it works best for your schedule.

Your photos will be delivered to you via an online gallery. Once you receive your gallery, you will be able to see all the photos in your gallery with a watermark. You will then have 1 week to choose the amount of photos included in your package. You will then have access to your chosen photos, can download them and will be able to share your gallery with anybody who has access to the internet!
How will i receive my photos?
To start, neutrals are always a good idea. You can even throw in a pop of color if you want to spice things up! For newborn sessions, pick your favorite outfits and swaddles! When you book a session with me, you will receive a beautiful Style Guide that gives outfit tips for him and her, ideas for children, and a ton of other info to help you prepare for you session!
what should i wear for my session?
It is never too early to book! In fact, it is always best to book earlier rather than later to ensure your slot. For a maternity shoot, I recommend booking a session for when you are anywhere from 28-34 weeks along so we can capture that precious belly bump at it's best! This gives us some wiggle room in case baby decides to arrive just a bit early.
How early should I book a maternity session?
It is never too early to book! In fact, it is always best to book earlier rather than later to ensure your slot. For newborn shoots, I recommend booking a date 1-2 weeks after your anticipated due date if you want those sleepy, beautifully posed newborn photos. If you want baby more awake, I'd recommend scheduling for when baby is 3-8 weeks old.
