But out of all of those, Photography is my passion! It's a way for me to use my creativity to capture moments and make them last a lifetime. I believe in capturing life’s genuine, joyful moments—the ones that make your heart skip a beat! Whether it’s a candid laugh, a loving glance, or a playful twirl, My goal is to capture beautiful memories that reflect the real you. I may be based out of the metro detroit area currently
but I'm originally from a small town in Northern Michigan called Alpena! Growing up, I always knew I wanted to move away. I was that rebellious kid who just wanted out of her tiny town. I wanted to get that life experience away from what I was used to, what I was comfortable with. After High School, with a college major of Graphic Design in mind and ready to go, I left for Ferris State University! To make things short, 8 LONG years later, I graduated with a degree in Radiology (and a future fiancé, but that's a story for another time). I know.. not quite the plan I had going into school, but that's okay!
While I was in X-ray school, I discovered some online photography courses that really peaked my interest! Growing up, I always had my digital camera in my hand. I loved taking pictures of nature and random things, the occasional photo of a family member or friend, but nothing professionally. After taking the courses and gaining the realization that I could actually take photos and make any type of living from it changed everything! It was then that Megan Ann Photography came to be.
I moved to the Metro Detroit Area in 2019 and have loved serving this wonderful area since then!
Since we dated for so long, we both agreed that we didn't want to be engaged for a long time. Everything fell into place and we set a date for the following September! We got married in my hometown of Alpena, MI and it was the most perfect day.
2023 - Married the love of my life
After a long 7 years of dating, Josh finally popped the question! We went to a pumpkin patch in October of 2022. The place we went to was just way to busy, so we found a smaller pumpkin patch down the road to go to, which ironically was named Miller Farms (his last name is Miller), and Josh got down on one knee in the middle of the pumpkin field!
2022 - FINALLY engaged!
After finishing my year long internship as an x-ray student, I graduated and moved to the Metro Detroit area with my boyfriend, Josh. We moved into our first apartment together and quickly got to exploring our new location!
2019 - Moved to Metro Detroit
While attending Ferris State, I met a boy named Josh. We quickly hit it off and well, the rest is history! We became inseparable. His family became my family, I was just so happy.
2015 - Met the love of my life
My love for all things creative grew the older I got, so naturally I decided to go to college for Graphic Design. I quickly realized that it was more of a hobby, and I didn't want that for a career. 3 majors later, I landed in the Radiography program at Ferris State University. I loved it! It was like taking pictures, but in a whole different way
2011 - Off to college I go
I grew up out in the country, so I quickly grew a love for nature and the outdoors. I also picked up a love for photography at an early age as well. I would take photos of anything and everything!
1992 - I was born!

favorite part of my job?
Fall! I wish it lasted longer than it does. Cool air, cozy atmosphere, I love it!

I'd go to Greece or maybe Italy. Or somewhere warm and all inclusive!
